Last updated: August 2026. This site is a personal blog. It collects as little personal data as possible. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.

Who is responsible

This website (anouarseghir.com) is operated by Anouar Seghir as a personal, non-commercial blog. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights under the GDPR, you can contact: [email protected].

What data is collected

Comments

If you leave a comment, the name and email address you enter are stored so the comment can be displayed and moderated. Your email address is never published and is not shared with anyone. IP addresses of commenters are not stored. Comments are held for manual approval before appearing.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you submit the comment form. You may withdraw it at any time by requesting deletion of your comment (see “Your rights” below).

Comment cookies (optional)

When you leave a comment, you may opt in, via a checkbox, to having your name and email saved in cookies in your browser, so you do not have to re-enter them next time. This is entirely optional. If you do not tick the box, no such cookies are set. No cookies are set for visitors who only read the site.

Spam filtering

Submitted comments are checked for spam by Antispam Bee, a privacy-focused filter that runs locally on this site and does not transmit your data to any third party.

Hosting and content delivery

This site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, on servers located in Germany (European Union). Traffic is routed through Cloudflare, which provides security (protection against attacks) and content delivery. To perform these functions, Cloudflare processes technical connection data, including visitor IP addresses, in its role as a data processor. Server and security logs containing IP addresses may be retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then discarded.

What this site does NOT do

  • No web analytics (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, nothing that profiles you).
  • No advertising and no advertising cookies.
  • No social media tracking pixels.
  • No external fonts or scripts that would transmit your data to third parties.
  • No selling or sharing of personal data. Ever.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in France, this is the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
